Birthing Pool Hire

Are you thinking of hiring a birth pool?

If you have decided on a home water birth, the next step is to decide where to get your birthing pool.

We are often asked if we hire our pools out. We sell our pools to keep, not to hire.

If you prefer to hire there are a lot of ways of doing that. As we don’t hire them out ourselves, we have put together some options, that will hopefully make your choice easier:

If you prefer to hire a Birth Pool in a Box, there are independent online companies who hire our Professional grade Mini and Regular size pools.  The national services we recommend are:

Alternatively, you may decide to borrow a pool from a family member or friend. If you opt to use a Doula or Independent Midwife they may offer a pool as part of their service. If you have a local Home birth group, they often own our Professional Birth pool in a Box Birthing pools to hire out. In the UK, many NHS community teams also have Birth Pool in a box Professional pools, so you may wish to ask your Midwife. Whichever way you decide to arrange your pool, please remember to use a new unopened Birth pool in a box liner (Mini or Regular size depending on the size of your pool) and a brand new unused hose even if it only had clean water through it.

Please note that our warranty (and insurance) is void if a "universal" birth pool liner is used with our birthing pools- Birth Pool in a Box liners are designed with the pool to fit snugly and securely with no uncomfortable creasing.
